Introduction to Motion Graphics
Bring your designs to life with dynamic motion graphics and visual effects in After Effects! This hands-on course will teach you the essentials of animation, and text effects, giving you the skills to create eye-catching visuals for film, games, and digital content.

Scheduled Class Times: 17h30 – 19h30 every Thursday
In addition to live online classes, participants will need to complete approximately 3 hours per week watching lectures and completing relevant exercises, especially those in After Effects so that you can master the skill learnt during class time.
Total Credits:Â Non-credit bearing
Certification: Certificate of attendance (students must have attended the complete course and completed in-class exercises. A formal assessment is not included as part of the course)
Requirements:
Software – After Effects (2-month subscription) – www.adobe.com
Internet – Ensure that you have sufficient bandwidth and data to join video calls.
Computer – Min specs below:
- Microsoft Windows 10 or the latest Mac OS
- 4 GB of RAM (8GB recommended)
- 64-bit Intel or AMD multi-core processor.
- Headset with microphone.
- Three-button mouse
- 4GB of free disk space for installing After Effects.
The Introduction to After Effects is a hands-on course which covers practical demonstrations of how to create motion graphics and visual effects. We will cover motion graphics tools and principles, as well as animation of characters, text and shape and process the footage.

- Create simple motion graphics with Shape layers and Text
